Champions Club at Summerfield:

The Champions Club is better known by the community name — Summerfield.  This community is a combination of track homes and custom built SFHs, that in 2011 are selling for just under $280K, yielding a $118/SF.  Through the first three quarters of 2011, there have been nine public transactions reported on the Martin County MLS.

The golf course is owned by the county and leased to a private operator.  The course went through a major renovation in 2010-2011, with new greens, tees, traps, and some major refurbishment.  The course is operated strickly as a public golf course, with no club component.  Greens fees vary dramatically by the time of the year, from $20 in the summer to $70+ in winter.  The Tom Fazio course is an excellent design and now in excellent shape.  Annual memberships are around $400/month.

Homes sell well in this community, and generally there is a small inventory.
